Ben Guerfane hosts three markets. The weekly market is on a Saturday and is located in the centre of town, south of avenue Habib Thameur. As you arrive in Ben Guerdane, the market is on the right. The market is very lively and agricultural, moreso than other markets in the South.

There is a Libyan market within a walled enclosure roughly a kilometer up from the Zaris Road; it is similar to the market in Houmt Souk, although it is larger, brewing with local culture, and is open daily - Sunday is the main day when all the stalls are open.

Finally, there is a Thursday morning livestock market; situated  3km south of the main town, on the road to Mouarmarat (take the road south of the hospital, bear right at the fork after 500m and continue for a couple of kilometers).

Please be aware that Ben Guerdane has the most active black markets of all Tunisian cities, you must be diligent when making purchases from the markets as all black market exchanges are illegal and if caught, one could face prosecution.
